Introduction
Black TiO2 is derived from conventional TiO2 with oxygen deficient chemical process. This absorbs full visible spectrum; 49% of solar and indoor lighting for photocatalytic activation. This nanomaterial can be used for environmental remediation, black matrix for light-absorbing pigment, renewable energy and self-cleaning coatings.
Black TiO2 was invented since 80s but never been commercialized due to lack of mass production method, but Raven Materials has successfully developed the world's first viable scalability and stable black TiO2 mass production.
